Varies. The better we think things through up front, the less time it takes to successfully design and produce your site. A focused effort can complete the process in 2 to 6 weeks.
Varies according to the project. We usually nail down a price once we've defined the project and stick to it. If you seek a more direct answer, please request an estimate.
No, it really doesn't. We are personable and like to meet in person when possible but our communications can succeed just fine via phone and e-mail. Sometimes, we finally meet in person long after a finished launch... someday we'd even like to do a "client tour" just to visit all of the interesting places!
We take communications seriously and expect in kind from the client. After all, your project is really a collaboration, so good communication is essential.
If our track record doesn't convince you, hopefully our documentation will. We are clear about defining our deliverables and your expectations from the beginning.
We can devise a service and support plan while planning with the client. This can range from simple hosting and support to retained "blocks" of time for regular improvements. For example, some clients buy discounted blocks of time per quarter (3 month period) so that our availability is insured.
- Register your domain! By owning your name/company name, you have ultimate control.
- If you register at somewhere like godaddy, disregard all of the features and options they'll hit you with on the way to check out. ALL YOU NEED AT THIS TIME IS YOUR DOMAIN NAME. Your web developer (whether it's Superclean or somebody else) usually can't provide robust features in pedestrian shared-hosting environments. By owning and managing your own domain name, you can easily change the DNS pointer to whomever you want to run your site, (giving you freedom and comfort.)
- Think about who your intended audience really is.
- Think about what you really want your site to do.
- Research websites in your "space" or niche.
- Research other websites that inspire you regarding functionality, features, design, etc.
However many it takes. As a client, you only deal with one person... your project lead aka Mr. Superclean. He often does everything himself, but also draws from a trusted network of professionals as needed. For example, we have some logo/branding designers we've worked with for years. We also work closely with some amazing programmers when we need to tackle new capabilities.
No, we keep our overhead low so we can offer incredible value to our clients. We do, however, partner with contractors so if you can demonstrate your Superclean talents, contact us.
We like Drupal the best. It's the holy grail of open source, module-based web development. The client does not need to worry about licensing and anything can be accomplished... it's never "if"... it's "which way should we do it?"
- Think things through up front.
- Develop and organize your content up front.
- Don't try to do too much. Stay focused and proceed in steps.
- Be readily available to assess and give feedback during the development process.
Many of our clients offer uniquely specialized services and they hire Superclean to better explain what they do. They also need to interact through their website but don't have dedicated IT and Marketing departments.
Specialty services we have worked with, for example, include: technology start-ups, hedge fund advisors, real estate analysts, commercial brokers, consultants and recruiters, international branding specialists, and environmental law policy lawyers.
We also provide specialized web services for professional artists and musicians and assorted other more "tangible" small businesses and localized services.
